Alluvial Garnet

Almandine garnet is a natural abrasive that is suitable for sandblasting and water jet cutting applications. It is composed of iron aluminum silicate and has a hardness of 7.5-8 on the Mohs scale. It has a high density, high specific gravity, and high resistance to fracture. Some of the benefits of using almandine garnet are:

• It is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and free of silica dust.

• It has a low consumption rate, which reduces costs and waste.

• It produces a uniform surface profile, which improves coating adhesion and performance.

• It can be recycled up to 5 times, depending on the application and equipment.

• It can cut through any material, including metal, stone, glass, ceramic, etc.

We offer almandine garnet in various sizes and grades for different applications. You can choose from:

• Sandblasting grades: 16, 16-30, 25, 30/40, 30/60, 36, 50/80, 80

• Water jet cutting grades: 80, 100, 150

• Water filter grades: 16 (95% or 99%)
